Best Time to Visit Tirupati Balaji

When we like to go, and when we avoid it with kids and elders.

Green Tirumala hills with clouds in the monsoon season
Season matters

The cool months are our favourite

Our best trip was in late November. The hills were green after rain, mornings were cool and the queue moved well on a Wednesday. Our worst was a May weekend when the crowd and the heat were both too much for our parents.

Below we share months, days and hours that work well. Check festivals and the crowd update too.

Quick answer: The best time to visit Tirupati Balaji is October to February, when the weather is cool. For less crowd go Tuesday to Thursday outside festivals and school holidays. May and June are hot and very crowded, and the rainy season brings showers from July to November.
